@AndrewSparrow @AndrewSparrow North Down, Islington North, Blackburn, Dewsbury and Batley, Leicester South, and Birmingham Perry Barr for total of eight FWIW, live tracker numbers do add to the 648 seats declared, hence I suspect one of the eight is included with one of the 12 parties' Ends

@AndrewSparrow Hello again, minor matter. Should your live tracker show Others as '8' rather than '7'? Put another way, could one of the eight have been included in the total for one of the 12 parties' tally? My count, from your map: Chorley (Speaker), North Antrim (TUV) More..

@AndrewSparrow Leigh, Corbyn, and Roger Gale (result still to come in Herne Bay) were all first elected 1983, and all sworn in 16 June 1983. Leigh was sworn in first according to Hansard, with Corbyn sworn in 20 MPs later, and Gale another 46 after Ends

@AndrewSparrow Further to my tweets two days ago, it looks like Edward Leigh (Con) will be the new Father of the House, just pipping Corbyn to the line. He will preside over the election of the Speaker Bottomley (elected 1975) has lost Worthing West More...

@AndrewSparrow (apologies if you have already addressed) Who will be the MP with longest continuous service, aka Father of the House, and therefore preside over the election of the Speaker? Short thread

@AndrewSparrow Error in "Close election votes..." at 19:33? Says LD Mark Oaten won the fresh ballot with "a majority of more than 21,000 seats." Um, maybe 21,000 votes?

@Katieshould No idea where you're planning on shopping, but FWIW we made a recent purchase from Wellington Beds in Porirua. Karen was very very good, both as a salesperson and a decent person who treated us respectfully

And previously, prescriptions became free after any 20 funded prescriptions - e.g. 18x$5 scripts and 2x$15 scripts. But from tomorrow, families will have to pay for 20x$15 scripts before the remaining scripts in a year are free

Today I learned from my local pharmacy that, while $5 prescription charges disappear tomorrow, some families may be up to $200/year worse off. But the $15 charge for prescriptions written by specialists (and dentists) remains unchanged More....

@WakaKotahiWgtn To report, your SH1 e-sign gantry on Newlands Road (just before the on-ramps) has been tagged. Lots of black paint on the back side, visible from the offramps. Happened recently, since the weekend

Decided to pay income tax to @grantrobertson1 tonight, a bit early. I value the public health system and social support that tax delivers.

Following from @A_G_Hawkins shout out 🙏 thanks @NZGreens for selecting me to join my pal @nashthomas as Pōneke GWRC candidates. This climate emergency needs twice the urgency. NO TIME TO WASTE!! (Says my old Greenpeace shirt I bought in primary school)

(OK, I may be late to this, I'm often not on Twitter) I've asked the Government to ensure that big trucking companies can't buy three - or even four - year's worth of Road User Charges at a reduced rate, when the "three months" reduction kicks in

@maddisongourlay (click through needed) I thoroughly disagree with the dangerousminds point of view, but it's the first piece I've found that has the Timaru Herald page Utterly brilliant, IMHO. Also, you make me feel ancient, talking about finding it in the archives 😂 twitter.com/mr_orgue/statu…
