@philsturgeon That's a gross generalization, Phil. There's *at least* a hundred miles of track between NYC and DC where the passenger trains have priority.

And the few trains they do have are slow rolling tanks that have lower priority than the freight they share lines with.

@Beryllium9 I assume the main reason nobody's ever met a time traveler is that 100% of time travelers end up either splinched or floating in space when they materialize.

The most ludicrous thing about time travel stories isn't that someone found a way around the laws of physics, it's that someone correctly implemented the incomprehensible time zone math necessary to arrive at precisely 8am on September 2, 1885 instead of like 8 hours too early.
