@MarcelOzyna @TrillWilsosa To be fair first half of the season he was def the most impactful player, but he gave that up to stat pad and Catchings far and away became the guy second half. Would be interested to see how many games he closed, but I know he fell out of the closing groups in feb/march.

@MarcelOzyna @TrillWilsosa Would you consider someone who isn’t even in your closing group your best player? He came off the bench, shot a million shots a game, turned the ball over constantly, and was a traffic cone on defense. Dude shot 40% from the field. Last time I checked that ain’t good.

CJ Allen's highest-graded season by PFF was in 2025 with a 75.8 grade.
He had one career INT and 2 career FFs.
That's just not a player that usually (or should) go in Round 1.

I'm going to have a hard time ranking CJ Allen. We are talking about a sub-6-1 linebacker with short arms, who didn't do ANY athletic testing this offseason. AND... his coverage tape at Georgia was ROUGH.

Pretty lackluster showing so far imo. Commanders have found 4-5 starters, including three edge rushers.

Cowboys didn’t get a perceived big fish or two. But I applaud them identifying areas that hurt them. 1) gambling on injured players 2) forcing players into a scheme 3) finding value for those players when they don’t and when they can 4) restructuring deals in March vs August 5) having a very clear and intentional vision for what they are looking to do well ahead of the draft and picked up a few picks ahead of it. Now let’s see how they continue to proceed.
