Is the first default photo in the iOS simulator still broken? I remember it sometimes crashed apps during debugging

Watching some Family Guy while having a discussion with Claude about adding a vector-based search in appmetadata.com Same situation as 5 years ago while in university, different tools though.

@brungarc Reminds me of the good ol' try { work() } catch (error) { /* ignore error */ } the clankers love so much

I feel so safe because AI writes a lot of tests for me. The test:

"Use the Makefile instead of custom commands" is probably my most sent message, because Claude keeps "forgetting" even though it's in the memory and AGENTS.md

Let a couple agents run in parallel and now you can fetch App Store charts data via the appmetadata.com 👀🙌 Full documentation is here: #tag/Apple-App-Store-Charts" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">appmetadata.com/docs#tag/Apple…

Browsing Reddit and X it seems like many developers are entering a „build first myself, search for existing solutions (maybe) later“-era

Just held my first ever talk about Metrics written in Swift at the Mobile Heads meetup in our @sentry Vienna Office. Had a fantastic time, great questions, fun people to talk to!

I have so much gratitude to people who wrote extremely complex software character-by-character. It already feels difficult to remember how much effort it really took. Thank you for getting us to this point.

@mufasaYC It feels to me like initial app submissions take longer than app updates. I think the quickest I ever had was submit → published in 30 minutes

Sometimes GitHub's trending repositories shows me the coolest things I have absolutely no idea how it's relevant for me orhow I could ever use it, but it's still pretty cool. github.com/NawfalMotii79/…

Used my left-over freshly-pressed lemon juice and made some lemonade syrup. This stuff is addicting. Too much sugar though.

I miss old YouTube/Vine times. Just a stream off funny videos. Now everything has an agenda or continues a hype which is so irrelevant it‘s gone in 2 weeks

I've set up a great system to work with @opencode for a while: an old but capable Dell OptiPlex server running on Ubuntu Server 24.04, OpenCode server mode as a sercice, and Tailscale to use it from my laptop and foldable phone.

@krystofwoldrich @brungarc Yes! People blame it on bad „harness“ or „verification loop“ but it‘s just absence of proper coding of surfacing and handling all execution paths.

@brungarc So true, AI loves to do this. It’s scared to call throw to death, it always prefers to silently fail.

AI seems to avoid discomfort. "Let me hide this error here", "If this is not set lets just not do the thing". Just error out! let it error so I know I gotta pay attention, no env var set? blow up! Time to add this to agents.md
