@Floridagirl0850 The food is all in containers, which is in plastic bags. You could probably tie the food to a buffalo and have it dragged through a sewage treatment plant safely.

I can't order prepared food from a delivery app because I just know the driver's car is probably gross inside, and I doubt they wash their hands. They might own a cat and then there might be cat hair in my food. It's all too stressful.

@MattLoszak I've always wondered why we don't have nuclear-powered blue water tugs that can tow blue water barges. The Navy could run the tugs, and so all the nuclear risk would remain in military control. Cargo companies would simply pay to be towed, with zero carbon emissions.

Nuclear-powered shipping is so obviously the right solution, it pains me we didn’t go this direction decades ago: - 10,000x fuel-density: less space for fuel, more cargo, more revenue. - 5-10 yrs between refuels: less stops, longer or new routes, higher uptime. - 7,600 U.S. military naval reactor-years: nuclear at sea is already proven. - 440 civilian land reactors: no reason civilians can't do it at sea as well. - Already proven with NS Savannah. - No dirty exhaust. Can't wait to see what Nick and his team do to push this forward.
Nick Touran@whatisnuclear

I've been obsessed with the vast and untapped potential of civilian nuclear power at sea forever. I'm now the Chief Nuclear Officer at an exciting new company bringing nuclear power to maritime applications. There's much to do, so I'm looking for passionate and highly-skilled people who want to embark on this journey with me. Hit me up if you or someone you know may be interested. We need a Nuclear Licensing expert first, but will have many more openings in the pipeline. *The company is currently operating in stealth mode

Would you believe 57 Republicans and 211 Democrats recently voted in favor of this Orwellian automobile kill-switch? Here’s the roll call for the vote I forced to defund the mandate: clerk.house.gov/evs/2026/roll0…

Every new car in the U.S. will be required by law to have tech that puts constant surveillance on the driver by 2027. AI in your car will determine if you're sober and fit to drive, automatically turning off the vehicle if it determines you're a danger on the road.

Question: Do you judge people for living in a trailer? 😅 My husband and I are thinking about buying some land and putting a double wide on it. But I'm not gonna lie... the stigma of living in a trailer is definitely in the back of my mind. I don't tend to care what people think for the most part, but this is something that gets me.

Not sure why I am bothering to weigh in on this dumb controversy, but here I go - I vote blue. My logic is that some people will vote red and some will vote blue. The exact percentages are uncertain. If blue wins, everyone wins. If red wins, blue voters die and red voters have to live with the murderers and the guilt. I don't want to live in that world.

This is the last post I make on the blue/red button topic. But i think it's funny that some red people think they are higher IQ. And logical while blue is pure emotion with no logic. You sound like a pseudo intellectual to me lol

everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button if more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone dies if less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button die which button would you press?

Here are a list of mountain ranges in the US that top out at less than 8,749 feet, for those that think Texas is flat - Appalachian Mountains (and many of its named subranges, such as the Blue Ridge Mountains, Great Smoky Mountains, Allegheny Mountains, White Mountains in New Hampshire, Green Mountains in Vermont, and Berkshires): Highest point is Mount Mitchell (in the Black Mountains subrange of the Blue Ridge) at 6,684 feet. This is the highest peak in the entire eastern US east of the Mississippi River. Adirondack Mountains (often grouped with but distinct from the Appalachians): Highest point is Mount Marcy at 5,344 feet. Ouachita Mountains: Highest point is Mount Magazine (Signal Hill) at 2,753 feet. Ozark Mountains (or Ozarks/Ozark Plateau, sometimes considered alongside or linked to the Ouachitas): Highest point is Buffalo Lookout at approximately 2,561 feet. Pacific Coast Ranges (US portions, such as the Oregon Coast Range and broader California Coast Ranges; note that this is a collective term with varying sub-sections): Highest points in many sections are well under (e.g., Marys Peak in the Oregon Coast Range at 4,097 feet; Mount Linn in California sections at 8,098 feet). The Olympic Mountains (often included) top out at Mount Olympus (7,962–7,980 feet). Catskill Mountains: Slide Mountain at ~4,180 feet. Taconic Mountains: Mount Equinox (or Equinox Mountain) at ~3,840–3,850 feet. Black Hills (South Dakota/Wyoming): Harney Peak (Black Elk Peak) at 7,242 feet (sometimes listed separately as a distinct range).

@poorcope The Big Mac was the harbinger of the fall. A restaurant that so misunderstands the appeal of its core dish that it seems reasonable to add more bread to a burger as an upgrade has lost the plot.
