Did I just commission some character artwork, which I promised myself as a gift for when I got agented? YES I DID 😃

@annlittler I ponder for a couple days and then go back at it.

Even though I’m eager to get cracking when I get feedback from betas etc, I step away and let the ideas marinate. Now that I have my edits back from my agent - still not used to writing that! - I’m doing the exact same thing. Daydreaming is a vital part of the process for me.

Popped into my local indie bookshop and was asked if I’d like to help support a community writers’ hub in the town. OBVIOUSLY, with bells on. Went to give my details and recognised the name above mine. Couldn’t believe it, but it was the author I’d comped my book to.

The anxiety this caused was unreal. My car was parked there, and I swear there were no warnings that the car park was closing in the afternoon. Thankfully, they let me out 🫣

One of my hobbies is cooking. I LOVE making food from scratch. This is what I’ve cooked the past couple of nights, and even made chicken bone broth for the ramen. I cannot bake to save my life though 🤷‍♀️

Current WIP is set in Scotland so imagine my scream when friends floated the idea of going there for our annual holiday. A cabin by a loch is booked for July and you bet there will be castle trips and highland treks, all in the name of research 😃

Posting a little late. Damian is 10months old! How!? In 2 months he's gonna be 1. 😭 Time needs to slow down. D is walking (&already trying to run) This month we've been intro other food textures. Still have 2 teeth but we like our cheesy poofs &yelling "Ayyyyye!" . 🥴
