Great day at the Windsor Square Home Tour! Built in the late 1920s and shaped by decades of change, the Windsor Square Neighborhood is still going strong thanks to neighbors who continue to show up and protect what makes it special.

Today marks the opening of the new @PhoenixPolice headquarters, replacing a more than 50-year-old facility. This new space meets the needs of a department that had outgrown its previous headquarters, bringing key operations under one roof and creating room to grow and better serve Phoenix. With a strong focus on employee wellness, this is an investment in the people who serve our city every day.

Phoenix City Council has approved the Community Transparency Initiative. This work was shaped by residents, community groups, and advocates who spoke up and pushed us to do more. As a City, we have a responsibility to protect our residents as we respond to federal law enforcement activities.

Next week, on March 25, Phoenix City Council will vote on a measure to rename the City’s March 31 holiday as Farmworkers Day and to rename City buildings and streets named after Cesar Chavez.

I called for Phoenix to reconsider how we celebrate Cesar Chavez following reports of abuse, and I’m proud to stand with my colleagues @MayorGallego and @PHXDistrict5 as we take steps to rename the City holiday, buildings, and streets named after him. The farmworker and labor movement is bigger than any one person. It must continue, and we must honor the workers who built it.

Phoenix City Council will vote in April on a proposed increase to residential solid waste fees that fund trash and recycling services. The proposal comes as the cost of providing services, including trucks, fuel, equipment, and staffing, has increased in recent years.

30 years of showing what “love thy neighbor” looks like. Community Church of Hope was founded in 1996 to build a church rooted in inclusion and love for all, especially our LGBTQ+ community. I was proud to help celebrate this milestone & present a Congressional Commendation for their decades of service to our community.

Phoenix is getting ready to welcome the 2026 NCAA Women’s Final Four! 🏀 This morning I joined @downtownphoenix to unveil “We Got Next,” a new mural by local artist Antoinette Cauley celebrating the talent and determination of four incredible student athletes from our community. Public art like this helps capture the energy of the moment and showcase the young leaders shaping the future of our city.

Phoenix is a city with strong global connections. Thank you to the @PHXSisterCities Committee for joining us at today’s Economic Development and the Arts Subcommittee meeting. Their work helps build relationships that support cultural exchange, trade, and new opportunities for Phoenix residents and businesses.
