Physio Scout | Football Injury Analysis
Hi everyone, PhysioScout here. Welcome back to the new season! Let me give you an introduction to what I do. I analyse football injuries and attempt to give you timeframes on how long your favourite player or FPL, SoRare asset is out for with the help of video analysis and my expertise. Despite it being hard to believe, we're able to take a look at injuries, the mechanism on how it happened and give you a pretty great estimate on the recovery times, before your clubs even tell you! Obviously, nothing will be as good as the traditional MRI scan and X-Ray. Sometimes we may get it wrong. But we have a great hit rate, just check out our page! Whether it's to help out with your FPL selections or to see how injuries may affect your team. Give us a follow! #PremierLeague #Injuries #FPLCommunity #FPL #SoRare

Kylian Mbappe had to come off in the second half after suffering an ankle injury. The injury seemed to have happened after Issa Diop's challenge, which caused Mbappe's foot to evert after a stamp on his forefoot, which can bring concern for a medial ankle sprain. Wide variety of possibilities here, but Mbappe & Deschamps stating that it was "a small ankle problem," should ease concerns. Likely it's only a minor issue here. Expected Recovery Times: If contusion/minor ankle sprain: Less than 1 week If medial ankle sprain: 2+ weeks Unlikely that it's any sprain, but scans might be necessary to determine the extent of the injury. Hopefully it's just a minor one for France, as Mbappe did try and plan on. #france #worldcup #worldcup2026 #rma #rmafc

Jordan Henderson had to admitted to hospital with a wrist/arm injury in England’s celebrations vs. Mexico. Traumatic mechanism of injury where Henderson landed on his wrist. Henderson had be to be stretchered off post-match. Unfortunately, this causes a concern for a potential wrist/forearm fracture. Elbow dislocation also a worry here due to traumatic nature of the injury. Expected Recovery Time: If wrist/forearm fracture: 4-8 weeks If elbow dislocation (w/o fracture): 3-6 weeks Tuchel stated that "Jordan [Henderson] just fell over and injured his wrist. It looks really bad.” Would be really lucky to play again in this tournament. Let’s hope it’s a fast & speedy recovery for the Englishman. #England #WorldCup2026 #WorldCup #injury #Mexico

Australia’s Jordan Bos was forced off at half-time with a left knee injury following a heavy challenge. Hyperextension injuries can vary significantly in severity, ranging from bone bruising to ligamentous damage. MCL/ACL not ruled out here. Bos was unable to weight-bear, but it’s worth noting that bone bruising around the knee can also be significantly painful and limiting. Expected Recovery Times: Bone bruise: 1–3 weeks MCL sprain: 4-6 weeks ++ ACL injury: 9+ months Unfortunately, scans will be necessary to determine the extent of the injury. Let's hope this is the base case scenario and it's only a painful bone bruise. #Australia #WorldCup2026 #WorldCup #SportsInjury

Nico Williams suffered a right adductor injury in the second half of Spain vs. Uruguay. Adductor/groin injuries are usually treated as a day-to-day injury. Hopefully, he's avoided a strain. Expected Recovery Times: Minor injury: <1 week, day-to-day management Any strain: 2-4 weeks + Nothing indicates that there is a serious injury to the adductor despite the awful challenge by De La Cruz. However, scans will be needed to determine the length of time out. He is likely to return in this World Cup. #WorldCup #WorldCup2026 #Spain #NicoWilliams #Espana

Jarell Quansah had to come off in the second half with a right ankle injury in England vs. Panama. Plantarflexion + inversion at the ankle brings concern for a lateral ankle sprain. Particularly the ATFL + CFL structures. Lateral ankle sprains usually look worse than they end up being. A fast recovery can usually be facilitated if there is no structural damage. Expected Recovery Times: If minor: Less than 1 week Any structural damage: 4+ weeks Physios were also seen performing a talar tilt examination for the ATFL. Scans will be necessary to determine the extent of the injury. Tuchel added that it will be a "tight race for Jarell Quansah". #England #WorldCup #WorldCup2026 #LFC

Yeremy Pino has only suffered an AC joint sprain. Usually AC joint sprains are about pain management, and Pino can return earlier than expected. Expected Recovery Time: 1-3 weeks. Again, this is all about pain management and the severity of the sprain itself. #Spain #Pino #WorldCup
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

🚨🇪🇸 OFFICIAL: Nico Williams and Yeremy Pino remain with Spain squad in hope to recover for later stages of World Cup. Pino suffered an acromioclavicular sprain in his left shoulder. Nico sustained a muscle injury to his right adductor after a heavy knock.

Yeremy Pino has sustained a collarbone injury after coming on for Spain in the second half. Luis de la Fuente commented on Yeremy Pino after the game: “Pino can miss the rest of the World Cup. It is a collarbone injury. We will do more scans tomorrow." He will need an extended time to allow for adequate bone healing. Expected Timeline Out: 4-8 weeks Scans will be necessary to confirm the collarbone fracture. If confirmed, it will be unlikely he'll return for the World Cup. #WorldCup #WorldCup2026 #Spain #Pino #CPFC #Injury

Thomas Soucek was stretchered off the field with a left ankle injury after being injured in Czechia vs. Mexico. Eversion at the ankle after a jump poses concern for a medial/high ankle sprain. Expected Recovery Times: If grade 2/3 deltoid ligament sprain: 4-8 weeks If high ankle sprain: 6-10+ weeks w/ surgery Nedved added: “[The injury to] Tomas Soucek looked terrible on TV, but he has no fracture.” Likely a multi-week recovery here. Scans will be necessary to determine the extent of the time out. #Czechia #WHUFC #WorldCup #WorldCup2026
