@piastritwt I thinks primarily because of the word choice. It’s hard to deny a trend that’s in place since Canada. That’s why so many Lando fans were upset. The only time it didn’t happen was the race immediately following Zandvoort. Plus, with hearing the team impose repercussion later /gen

@piastritwt i’m actually referring to the thread as a whole, i can see you’re trying to be objective in your assessment but there are so many contradictory arguments in the threads and your bias is unfortunately clouding your intent. just curse mclaren out, it’s a better standing than this

oh of course, you should be mad at them. as a 4 i am also mad at them. but your whole thread comes as if they are stiffing oscar and “things that can’t be ignored” meanwhile it’s just not true. if you can bring up strategy blunder as arguments, why can’t we talk about a mech dnf when that’s ironically worse than losing 3/7 points? isn’t is still mcl’s fault?

i’m trying so hard not to be condescending to you but if max was above the delta he would’ve gotten a penalty. going by this argument of yours, does that mean the 10 cars that piled up and had to avoid each other on the first sc closed up more than usual?

before anyone even starts no, he didn’t “brake test max” the psi he used was like half of race pace. max just closed up more than he had on other laps so it looked dramatic. even the people who agreed the penalty was technically correct said 10s was excessive in those conditions

what you fail to acknowledge is lando has always gone long. i’m trying to understand your grievance about this 1 stop thing. maybe you just started paying attention to lando this yr but he does it anytime he’s on the backfoot bc he can manage his tyres

but the pattern is clear, when oscar’s ahead, lando can attack. when lando’s ahead, oscar can’t. “the 2 stop was faster on paper” on paper, yes but then deg stayed low, the 1 stop flipped & lando got to switch. oscar couldn’t.
