@CoachPapaJohn Him being a top ten pick (let alone a top 2/3 pick) is insane to me. He’s a DPR who only speed rushes and is bad against the run. Most of his production was just overwhelming unathletic and overmatched college tackles which won’t work at the next level.

@RK_DRAFT 6/39 for 12/20 would be a terrible trade for the Browns. I think there’s zero chance they do that and I don’t think Cleveland is trading down without acquiring more capital.

Been pretty dialed out of it, but dominos I'm looking for tomorrow: - Styles & Love selection within T6 - What the Giants do - How high can Tyson and Sadiq rise - Does a team trade up to 3 (I don't see the value for anyone tbh) - Do the Browns trade 6/39 to DAL for 12/20

@cseem20 To add on to this- whenever they go to dime they’ll move Matthews into the slot and bring the third corner in. It’s a look they’ll go to a decent amount of the time on passing downs (they did it a bunch last year and Matthews would typically slide inside).

@blackgodwayne This might be the worst comp I’ve ever seen on this app (and that’s saying a lot considering the slop that gets posted here on a daily basis).

@russ48239 @ahmad_dahman They’re not free though- you’re moving down 6 spots when the team moving up into the top ten typically is paying the premium (especially in this scenario). It’s bad process to just say yes to bad deal when you have the leverage (and why Cleveland shouldn’t do it).

@CoachPapaJohn The consensus number one tackle and the likely number 2 receiver on most 2027 big boards might be breakout candidates bro 👀👀. A re-education camp might be the only option, I fear.

@ahmad_dahman Correct- a lot of cowboys media and some of the mainstream guys are trying to look at it from an NBA trade machine perspective when that’s not actually how it works. Honestly 6 for 12 and 20 straight up is more realistic (swapping third round picks as an add on is fine too).

@pick_sixxx Right. And when Dallas falls in love with a defender, you use Washington taking them as a way to squeeze them. These mock trades are never what end up happening. Team coming up always overpays

@ahmad_dahman Correct- and just because they’d like to trade down doesn’t mean they have to. The team trading up is going to have to give up more as a general rule. Cleveland has all the leverage here- especially since they’re sandwiched in between division rivals at 6.

@pick_sixxx Ya that one doesn’t materially change anything. I’ve been saying the whole point of moving back is to turn 1 player into 3+

2022-2026 is probably the most talent-rich 5 year period in Ohio State football history, right? The only other time period that comes close to me is maybe 2015 thru 2019? 2002-2006 in the conversation too

Yup there was a time where Illinois was the 4th most recent team in Illinois to make the sweet 16… And the other power conference school wasn’t any of the three ahead of them. A ton of great hoops, Bradley slick in a hotbed of talent
College Hoops Database@CollegeHoopsTIk

We all remember 2006 George Mason. But do you remember the 2006 Bradley Braves? The 13th-seeded Braves beat Kansas (4-seed) and Pitt (5-seed) en route to the Sweet 16, led by future lottery pick (ninth overall) Patrick O’Bryant, who paced the MVC with 2.9 blocks per game

@ahmad_dahman @SP3CIALSITS To me I would be really disappointed if it’s Tate at 6 as much as the OSU-fan side of me likes him. It’s gotta be tackle and honestly Freeling feels like more and more the clear and obvious pick.

@Juicewag The school that takes basketball so seriously it didn't have a GM. It's unreal how badly they've botched the last 5 years of OSU MBB. If I were newly in charge of the athletic department, I wouldn't want that on my record. I'd want to put my stamp on the program.

Good points made in this article, and it addresses the fact that Diebler isn't going anywhere this off-season (despite the protestations of fans like me who think OSU should have higher standards). TL;DR - it isn't just a money problem. Talent evaluation must be better...
Eleven Warriors@11W

Better transfer portal pickups top the list of what OSU hoops needs to author a better final chapter in 2026-27, but its staff and late-game play design also require evaluation. elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-bas…

@timbers74083 @DegenerateTBone I guess you can say progress has been made but that’s because the bar is so low from what’s been accomplished recently. The 2nd sentence is the biggest issue. Ohio State is not a place where you should be learning on the job which ultimately falls on Ross Bjork for a lazy hire.

@pick_sixxx @DegenerateTBone Not acceptable, but progress has been made. Jake’s coaching skills have improved, but hopefully will continue to get much better with more experience. It is what it is. Need more NIL to get better talent too. 12th in Big does not cut it

As an OSU hoops fan, here are my expectations for the MBB team: 1. Top 25 team most years 2. NCAA Tourney team 9/10 years 3. Sweet Sixteen 2-3 times per decade 4. Once a decade, a team that can make a run at a Final Four Said another way, the standard we have for OSU WBB...

@SP3CIALSITS We are necessary. Very few fan bases if any have what it takes to do what we do. The truth is most fans are comfortable just being bots. At the end of the day all we’re doing is holding them accountable and setting a standard. They react because deep down they know we’re right.
