HALTs promte collaboration, develop other teachers and most importantly, positively impact on student learning outcomes and school culture. The process of HALT recognition IS rigorous, but it must be to maintain quality. If one is really committed, time can be found.

I think increasing he number of highly accomplished and lead teachers (HALT) is a great aspiration. However, if teachers are already reporting they are working more than 60 hours a week, how are they going to have time to apply to be a HALT? smh.com.au/national/nsw/p…
