Wonderful to meet @emcarrollauthor at Plympton library this morning and hear her talk about her latest book ‘The Houdini Inheritance’. If you or your children love historical fiction, check out this or her other MG books for 9-12 yr olds.

The latest @gordonkorman book is a page turner that Upper elementary/primary kids will love. Trey's Dad is a con-man. Trey makes friends with all the rich kids and then his Dad cons them. A fast paced story that Korman fans will devour. Our 4/5th graders LOVE Korman's books.

BVM flies off the shelves in our library! They will be very excited to hear there’s a new one coming out. Even more excited if I won the advanced copy 🥳

The Houdini Inheritance proved to be a magical and enthralling ride - would you expect anything less from the UK’s Queen of Historical Fiction @emcarrollauthor It’s an unstoppable rollercoaster of a ride that I could not put down with bags of action, twists and turns!

The best thing about holidays, time to read and visit bookshops! Loved exploring the children’s section of The Bookstore in Kilkenny and even though books are more expensive in Ireland than England, had to pick up a couple of new releases for summer reading and for the library.

After visiting the Irish Museum of Time in Waterford, it seemed the perfect time to start the horological mystery, ‘The Clockwork Conspiracy’ by @samuelsedgman who cowrote the ‘Adventures on Trains’ series. If you have the time, it’s a great read!
