The three most fundamental elements of all drama. 1. ) Someone wants something. 2.) They're having trouble getting it. 3.) Something will happen if they fail. If you can't identify all 3 in your narrative throughline, your sequence, and your scene, you likely screwed up.

@storyandplot Know any younger reps who might want to hip pocket a writer who has two screenplays that are polished, placing and ready to go?

If you want to approach reps for your screenwriting, either directly or indirectly, allocate more resources to pursuing younger ones. Younger reps still fight for projects and the new writers they're invested in. Most older reps work just as hard, but they work "smarter" because they can. They only want slam dunks. They move on quickly when something hits resistance. Again, because they can. It is easier and more lucrative to OVERBOOK their TOP clients than to push their LEAST-established client and lose out to someone ELSE’S top client. This goes for staffing, too. Some clients are easier to staff than others. And showrunners? The agent will focus on them and understandably so. The younger reps -- or the reps that ENJOY finding and breaking in new talent -- deserve most of your attention. Younger reps are growing their client list. They are more willing to take a chance. They are more likely to still be idealistic, fall in love with projects, and keep pushing through all those initial passes.

I spent lots of money on another service & received feedback that was less than helpful. I have 1 more im waiting on, so we will see.

I usually utilize the services of @roadmapwriters because hey are people in the industry who you can verify and dialogue with thus you can have comfort in the feedback. I would use @savethecat again over others

Cutting a 134-page first draft to 120 pages is easy. Anyone could do that. Trim that same screenplay to 112? That takes some effort. But get it down to 104? That is a hard-earned skill that’s cookin', so step back and give it some respect.

@WillCainShow @ZacharyLevi Ai remains an option for those of us who are blocked by the gatekeepers. As much as I like actors and you know I like you Zach if there's an option for me to pursue something on my own without having to beg I'll do it. The market can decide whether or not they will watch it.
