@htrickkane9 He’s lived primarily in the states since he was 19 years old and married to a girl from Texas so I don’t think he cares much about coming home. Also it would be outrageous for the leafs to take on that cap hit when they chose not to rebuild yet

He has played against far less physical top 6 forward cores in Utah and Anaheim vs years prior (Florida, Tampa, Boston). And it’s giving him confidence to make the plays he’s making. @JFreshHockey Leafs have picks in every round in 2027 except the 3rd round. They own Colorado’s 1st in 2027. Indeed it’s not their own but they do have a 1st round pick in ‘27. It’s not like they’re devoid of picks lol

@_knilanderthews McKenna is Patrick Kane. Huge upside potential, may get 125 points a season on Mathews wing. One trick pony though. Stenberg is Jonathon Toews. Lower ceiling, higher floor. Well rounded two-way player with leadership ability and can carry his team on his back.

Friedman on 32TP says he doesn't think the Leafs winning the lottery changes anything for Auston Matthews. He is going to sit down with the Leafs and ask not only what the plan is but how will you execute the plan? If the Leafs prove they can execute it, everything will work out.

My guy, you are missing the point it’s rigged for certain markets. Anyone dumb enough to believe it’s not rigged can’t explain how Edmonton got 4 1’s over 6 years or that the Coyotes despite years of being ass never got higher than 3, or when a team like the leafs misses the playoffs once, oh my god here’s number 1. Live in reality and use critical thinking for 2 minutes.

Is it just me or do only teams in New York, Toronto, or Chicago win the draft lottery when there is a superstar at the top?
