@CherrianeVT I've had the same happen to me with art, I never really care for the freebie though, usually the finished product when I get it meets my expectations and I am perfectly happy with just that.

I’ve had artists reach out to me for missing deadlines and wanting to add a freebie to apologize. I obviously don’t hold onto it or expect it but I wonder why they say that in the first place since it usually never ends up happening, and of course I’m never going to chase them up over that because I feel like I would be rude and I would feel bad. And I don’t want to ride a freebie at the expense of a guilt trip.. I do seriously appreciate the gesture though! Has this happened to you before? Did you chase the artist up for the freebie? Is it largely an unspoken courtesy gesture? Let me know!

taking my first real break from streaming in the 7 months since i started, a little over a week off, and honestly… even though it hurt to choose, i’ve seen a lot of good come from it. i’m doing better at work, my sleep schedule is normal again, and i don’t feel as emotionally worn down all the time. i was only 1 month into my new irl job when i started streaming, so looking back, i never really gave myself time to settle into both. this initially unplanned break is showing me that stepping back doesn’t always mean losing momentum or creativity or fun. sometimes you need to pause, reset, and feel comfortable again; feel like yourself again. excited to return soon refreshed, sharper, and with a lot more grace for myself. 🥹🫶🏻
