@TonySinanis Thank you @TonySinanis. I wish more people had the courage to speak on this. When educators turn a blind eye to what is happening in the world, we are modeling behavior that makes students passive observers of oppression and all the ways it shows up.

Education is not just about teaching & learning; it’s about maintaining safe spaces for our kids & colleagues -especially those who have traditionally been marginalized- at a time where people are actively trying to erase our existence & weaponize our identities. #EdChat

@TonySinanis @HerricksSchools @TonySinanis Your trajectory in education is well deserved. The heart you bring to every role in your life, including being Paul’s dad, is inspirational. You are a good human so I know that in year 26 you’ll still be building a movement ❤️.

P1 of the Color Lines Learning Team is in the books! We studied the social construction of race in America, experienced discomfort and looked at the patterns in our lives that do not serve us. I can’t wait for part 2! #ChappEquity #WeAreChappaqua foto by @profe_irizarry

Today is the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. It's important to center the humanity and voices of enslaved Africans in honoring that remembrance. This resource can help. slavevoyages.org
