I just wanted to thank everyone who has supported and sponsored me for JACKS 2024. Proud to have represented @StaffsPolice & UK policing to raise money for a fantastic charity… £1290 raised so far… just under 14 miles completed in 3hrs 40 mins…

Out on high visibility foot patrol with PC Baynes today… 1hr in and already one in custody for breach of a community behaviour order. Good opportunity also to speak with members to get their views surrounding the current landscape of policing… @PFEW_HQ

Great start to 2024, had official confirmation I have passed my masters degree… huge thank you to @IoPStaffs and to those who have supported me (you know who you are), 2023 was a difficult year on a personal level but goes to show if you put the hard work in you get the rewards!

Well it’s done, 2 years of study with @IoPStaffs and the submission of my dissertation for a masters degree… hard work with many sacrifices along the way, fingers crossed it’s good enough 😳

Today we said a heartfelt thank you & farewell for the retirement of Sgt George. A top man and officer who has Policed the City for many years with true professionalism. His experience and caring way will leave a huge void but wish him all the very best for his next chapter 👏

Spent the last couple of days supporting response functions… blown away (but not surprised) with the dedication, professionalism and commitment of teams to do their absolute best for the public… what was evident though is the amount of other agencies demand we have absorbed…

Landmark @SMFthinktank research has revealed a real-term shortfall of 17% in police officer pay. We are calling for better pay and working conditions for our members who put their lives on the line serving their communities daily, and we now have the data to back this up.

Spent a couple of days in Newcastle discussing a range if topics including the weight applied to mental health in the misconduct process… Called into Northumbria Fed office, Impressive facilities and fantastic services offered to members.. great catch up with the Chair and CAPLO

Out early doors supporting our members with a force operation… good to get the opportunity to speak with the troops, make them a brew, get feedback and update them on Fed matters nationally…

At Staffs Fed/Police Post Incident Process awareness day… over 200 delegates from across the force in attendance… huge thanks to @DCStubbs1 for putting the event on and raising awareness of this critical area of business👏👏

Out and about this evening with my old shift…busy evening, had a foot chase, arrest and property recovered… the team working hard and servicing demand… important to see and experience things for myself on how the new model is embedding within Staffs…
