Looking back at 2024 and I can’t NOT beam at PinkDetect’s progress. 🥹 From Toronto, I'm super proud of my team in Pakistan (esp @Waqas_Tahir11), for managing 10 focus groups, 5 camps & 4 workshops. Special shoutout to our recent camp for visually impaired women in Khi!

Not too long ago, I was deep into the world of case competitions. Today, I had the honor of being on the other side of the table as a judge for the Blueprints Case Competition hosted by TEDxTorontoMetU. A true full-circle moment. :’)

Recently had the pleasure to do an educational camp for breast cancer in Lyari, targeting school-going children’s mothers. This now marks @pinkdetect 5th successful camp. Special thanks to @HumanityInitiat for facilitating this. Super grateful for our team reps, Anum & Maria 😊

The workshop concluded with a powerful keynote from Ms. Faiza Naeem of BINAE, who shared the troubling fact that no org in Khi had been willing to conduct a breast cancer awareness session with them before, as they lacked braille resources. This made our workshop their 1st. (6)

To kick off Pinktober 2024, Team PinkDetect hosted a special workshop on October 11 for visually impaired women and girls at the BINAE Education Foundation in Karachi, emphasizing breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection. (A thread)
