When I started practicing law in Charlotte in 1976, “bad folks” would generally not attack/harm a judge, attorney, court personnel, or members of law enforcement because those folks were part of the “judicial system” which came down card on criminals who hurt one of its members. Today, no such restraint exists - most criminals have no fear of punishment for their crimes due to lenient sentences, liberal empathy, and the societal celebration of lawlessness.

The woman who shot two attorneys outside of the Raleigh NC courthouse in BROAD DAYLIGHT has been identified as 57-year-old Gwendolyn White.
The victims are Mary Harris and Jeffery Whitley.
Mary is currently fighting for her life in surgery right now.
According to police, Gwendolyn became "belligerent in court," went to her car, grabbed a handgun, and fired at the attorneys as they left the courthouse.
Please pray HARD for Mary and her family...
I can't believe something like this could happen.
This is not the country I grew up in... something has to change.

What we know so far: The shooter had an ongoing lawsuit against the police department, and the attorneys involved were representing the department in that case.
White has been fighting the city police department since 2022 to obtain bodycam footage tied to a domestic incident at her home in 2021—footage the department deleted.
