Revenue is warning shoppers that online orders placed today may be subject to new customs charges.
New rules mean a three euro charge will be added to the cost of goods arriving from outside the EU from Wednesday of next week.
Revenue says the measures are aimed at creating a "level playing field" for Irish and EU businesses, ensuring imported goods face the same customs obligations while helping tackle high volumes of low-value products entering the market.

Absolutely appalling.
No one should face violence on our streets. The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. I will not tolerate this - he will face the full force of the law.
My thoughts are with those who are injured and I thank the police and the emergency services for their response.
