my dad had a skype interview today so he was sitting in the living room looking all professional in his suit and tie and everything while he's talking to the people who are interviewing him. and OF COURSE my cat decided that she NEEDED to speak at that moment so she just starts meowing left and right and talking crazy talk to the point where the interviewers just start laughing because she just will NOT shut up. so my dad just kind of sighs, looks at the camera, and goes, "i'm so sorry. i have to ask my cat to leave." and then he looks over at victoria and very calmly and professionally goes, "victoria, i'm afraid you're being too loud, and i'm going to have to ask you to leave." and she did. she fucking turned and walked out of the living room.

I was so wrong, cats are cool. I’ve always been a proud “dogs are better than cats” guy. But my dog is an old man now and I wanted to get a pet to soften the blow a little when he passes. Started considering cats when I realized I didn’t really have a good reason not to like them. I started browsing shelters and after a few visits met a grumpy 3 year old cat that had been at the shelter 3 months. He immediately started purring around me and the staff said they hadn’t seen him taken to anyone like that. I adopted him on the spot and he’s been with me for 4 months now, and has completely proven me wrong about cats. He is the coolest little dude around and makes me happy every day. Never been so glad to be wrong! Here’s my boy Bazzi

I went to the shelter yesterday to look at dogs. Our sweet dog died 6 weeks ago. A woman came in with a two week old kitten who was bottle fed- she could not keep him due to work and she had no choice but to bring him in. They let her know kittens were put down immediately due to lack of staff unable to bottle feed. Meet Mango. He is two weeks old, his motor is insanely loud and he eats like a champ. I do not need another cat but the cat distribution system felt otherwise. 🧡

I’ve seen about 30 today alone. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even read the full posts because they hurt my heart. I just see the beginning, the picture, like it and scroll. Please make it stop 🙃

I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole. Every time I see a post on my timeline about a pet that’s passed away, my conscience won’t let me scroll by it without liking it as a way of offering my condolences. This seems to be telling the algorithm that I enjoy seeing posts about dead pets.

Just finished watching How to get to Heaven from Belfast. Derry Girls was great, but @LisaMMcGee has absolutely outdone herself with this show. First show I’ve watched in a long time where I’ve been shocked at the twists and turns. Incredible. Well worth a watch!
