@RSymonsLTD Neither when new but bought an '89 1.9 GTI for £2k in 2000 (to sit alongside my E36 M3 Saloon). Always wanted a GT Turbo - if only to drive one with a snapped clutch cable one more time. Worried the opportunity is slipping away! New R5 looks great, need to drive one...

See back in the day I had the Peugeot 205 and never made it to a Renault 5 because it had to be the GT Turbo which I could never insure. But now it’s just wonderful! Which side of the fence did you sit on then, and which do you sit on now?

Maiden outing in my new to me SL320 to the Bicester Scramble. Makes me smile in a way the 911 never could. It cost almost peanuts and I love it already ❤️

The SL has been out of hibernation for a few weeks. Gorgeous drives in it over the weekend, and a bit of camping in between. It’s very grubby, and the ‘must sort that for the Merc’ to-do list is only getting longer, but it’s running beautifully and it makes me very happy.

Miles has now crossed 220k Never broken down Original brakes, paint, glass. No squeaks, no rattles, drives perfectly. 6 sets of tyres. 2 sets wiper blades, 2 cabin filters, 1x front pair and 1x rear suspension bushes is the maintenance so far Boot strut O ring replaced. Can still cover 300 miles real world with its 88% remaining battery capacity. Every 10k miles costs £178 in electricity with home charging. 18,855 miles to go and he’s driven to the moon. #milestothemoon #rsev
