@amiyaaranha I think the context is important here. If I'm buying something for me, especially a physical object? 8 bucks is 10 bucks. But if I'm buying a game for a friend, or, a friend is trying to get me to buy a game to play with him? 8 starts to feel more like 5 than 10

@DeliciousNDulce That had to be terrifying, depression is really insidious. I had no idea it could be so all-consuming until last year, I didn't snap out of it until nearly May. We'll get through it this year though! Too stubborn to stay down!

@pirateartisans It really is. Before last year I didn't even know depression could present with psychotic features. 😞

@DeliciousNDulce I had a similar depressive breakdown about the same time, my heart goes out to you. The Long Dark is hard for folks like us, I'm glad you made it through 💜

For those that don't know, about a year ago, I experienced a severe depressive psychotic episode, and it was the year I learned how serious seasonal depression can be. I had a huge fight with someone I considered a friend, and that ended with me trying to take my own life.

@DeliciousNDulce @TanzaKat We don't really ever heal from grief, so much as grow around it, like a tree that's lost a limb. It's always there, never completely gone, but eventually the wound is a smaller part of us than it was before because we are more than we were before.
