Another side effect of yesterday’s power outage (beside cellular service completely failing) is when the power came back on my air conditioner broke. Assumed it was coincidence but we just left Whole Foods and theirs is broken too. Wth???

@WWLAMFM Yes, and I lost verizon cell service completely. No data, no calls, not even texts went through. What happened? Do the towers not have backup batteries anymore? This is a bad sign before hurricane season.

@WWLTV Curious why my phone lost signal too. After the power went out my verizon service went to SOS mode. Couldn’t get any calls or texts out. 🤯

At one point the map showed 102, 771 customers were affected. Entergy said the outage was caused by a "load shed", which is when the power grid is close to capacity. wwltv.com/article/news/l…

@pistolette I’m in Louisiana, and while boys are grown now, I always brought them with me to vote, even when they were teens. I wanted to instill in them the importance of voting!

My coworker teachers dressed as baristas and served mini ‘starbucks’ cups filled with coffee candies and names deliberately spelled wrong on the outside. 😂☕️🎃
