Drivers, operators, and commuters together with farmers and the people this Peasant Day to demand reckoning from Marcos’s corrupt, fascist, and US-puppet government! While Marcos and Duterte still roam free to plunder, while no one has been held accountable for the government’s deep corruption, and while the system itself remains unchanged, let’s keep flooding the streets with protests and mass actions! Today we showed our solidarity with the farmers camped out at the Department of Agrarian Reform fighting for genuine land reform. The continued rule of the landlords in the countryside, maintained by the bureaucrat capitalists in government and their imperialist masters through the big comprador bourgeoisie, only deepens the oppression, exploitation, and suffering of millions of peasants. Evidence of this are laws like the Rice Liberalization Law, the government’s dependence on imports, and the ruthless conversion of agricultural lands in the countryside.
