@jspector I'd love to know your system for preparing for a launch - do you have it all planned and ready and scheduled ahead of time? Do you have a system for what you are going to do? If it isn't performing as expected, how do you detect and what do you adjust?

Next week I'm doing a new Skill Session called The One-Week Promo Plan. I'll teach the system I use to drive attention and conversions to one offer in one week. When I put together these Sessions, I invite my members to submit questions they'd like me to address during the Session. Here's a small sampling of what members have asked about the topic. I'll address these during the Session in addition to sharing the system I use. It's going to be super useful. If you'd like access to it, become a Skill Sessions member this week. Then you can join us live next Wednesday. (Or watch the recording of the Session afterwards.)

@NIvdrip @jessekb @MassGovernor And I would add - (for the Concord site) - provide a way to cross rt2 near the roundabout so the two nearby bike trails (Minuteman and Freeman) can flow together towards boston. Would make a huge difference to allow for walkability/bikeability in a massive section of metrowest.

A thought experiment for this rainy day: you have the power to make @MassGovernor take one executive action to address the housing shortage in MA. What would it be? Think within reasonable limits of exec powers, not like "abolish zoning" or "force towns to build more" #mapoli

What if—instead of misery and stress—our streets could bring us joy? What if—instead of incentivizing physical inactivity—they could help us build movement into our daily lives? What if—instead of isolating and pushing us apart—they could encourage cooperation and conviviality?

@KevinEspiritu Interesting... Recipe templates and cooking websites have lately been inspiring my thinking about new content around garden design/ putting plants together. This looks cool and even more thought provoking...🤔

@tonythill Example - I have 44.5K followers, 2.2mil monthly views. This translates to 4K users/mo and 4.5k sessions/mo from pinterest. Is this good or bad? 🤷‍♀️ seems low, but don't know how to judge? Also, not sure how to systematically improve.

@tonythill How do you identify the top-ranking competition? just followers and views? (what else can you see?) I have lots of follower and lots of views - but constantly am trying to increase clickthrough rate -big followers and views numbers don't always translate directly to big traffic.

Redeveloping just 10% of the Boston area's 3,024 strip malls into mixed-use housing and commercial space could provide 125,000 new homes for the Boston metro region.

You wouldn’t go vegan and start counting calories and intermittent fasting and join the gym all at the same time… So why are you trying to learn SEO, YouTube, email marketing and social media all at once? Get good at one, then add another, and another. It’s easier. 👍

Most SEO "audits" suck Anyone can plug a website into Ahrefs or SEMrush and send you a 20-page audit with hundreds of "errors" It costs them nothing, so it's worth nothing Our audit process is only 3 pages Want to see it? Like + comment "audit" and I'll DM it to you

@NicheDown @JCDFitness Anyone know if there is a way to change and remove dates from future posts while leaving them in already published posts. Seems like would be easiest fix for me.

Ok so here is what I ended up doing: 1. I removed the "post_date" from the top of all my posts (this is the date the post was first published) 2. I added this reusable block to all posts just above the table of contents, which includes "last_update_date" Supposedly if you expose just the "post_date", OR "post_date" & "last_updated_date" on the front-end of your site, Google will likely grab the "post_date" to show in the search results along side your article. Which isn't great because that will always be the older date of the two - searches want fresh, new content. Shoutout to @simon_glanville for explaining this to me. Probably obvious to many of you, but wasn't to me!

Why does ChatGPT tell people to 'buckle up' in every intro? Does it think the blog post is so good you're gonna literally fall off your chair reading it?

Back in 1985, Carl Sagan told Congress that continuing to burn fossil fuels will increase global temperature, cause climate change, melt glaciers and ice sheets, and cause sea level rise. His solution: Fewer government subsidies for fossil fuels and use of renewable energy.

Humans outlive their ability to drive safely by ten years, yet most cities are built on the assumption they’ll do it forever. To allow for successful aging in place, we must rethink our car-first streets and provide amenities within a short walk or roll. john-adams.nl/the-age-friend…

City design is making cities hotter. Here’s the fix: the hottest spots in cities have less than 6% vegetation cover, while the coolest spots in most cities have over 70%. Add trees everywhere to cool cities. forbes.com/sites/jamiehai…
