@thankyoukman I feel really by the end they really didn't mind which mouse, as long they were together. After all the freedom in either was an illusion and they prioritized their happiness together Either way is understandable

Lowkey one of the big reasons why I don’t think denreze would be good for each other (saying this as someone who doesn’t like asaden either)

Istg Fujimoto needs to do an epilogue for the volume bc nothing made sense and why should any new fan watch ir read series if they know there is 0 payoff to anything that happens 13 pages is more than enough to figure out Denji fully remembers all his mistakes and tease part 3

@birdgenre @LinkAnd0606 yeah the au's where everything is perfect almost felt off, mainly cause reze isn't developed enough to be herself and can't risk it without stable circumstance. the ones where she either leans fully into either mask work, crucifix also felt grounded cause she developed enough

sometimes i see people praising reze as if her being [presented using a faux] love interest role is the only point to her existence and 90% of her narrative relevance isn't her being THE antagonist of an entire arc

@birdgenre @LinkAnd0606 doesn't she have to at least have had the potential to fulfill that role? otherwise it takes away from the tragedy of the ending.

@LinkAnd0606 to clarify: like a reader may expect certain things from a "protagonist", or from a "mentor" or a "villain" etc etc, they also expect certain things from a "love interest." labelling this role generates a reader's expectations for it, & this is what's played w. in rezearc

There are about 13 pages left for completion of Volume 24. I wonder what we are gonna get in them. Denji meeting Aki and the others? A second interaction between Denji and Asa? Some super short side story of Denji and power?
