@robhawkes With roof mounted panels, it's common for any excess electricity generated to be fed back to the grid & you get paid by the energy providers. Would be interested to see if the govt encourage rollout of payment systems too. Otherwise it's more free £££ for the energy providers.

Genuinely excited about the plug-in solar news in the UK, I'll absolutely be doing this! I've wanted solar for ages but I have a weird roof so the idea of experimenting with something simple in the garden / garage to start with is very appealing 👀
