Welcome to my 2026 thread of Completed Games! We're starting off the year with : Baten Kaitos Origins - 8.5/10 The game starts off pretty slow and feels like a drag but once it gets going, it's really good. The Last dungeon also isn't the greatest. Fun Combat, amazing music!

I hard disagree. Firstly, he wasn’t 100% redeemed, just put back on the right path. Even Kouta KNEW Micchy didn’t really stand behind what he was doing and knew he had the capability to come back from what he’s done. He was a misguided CHILD, who just wanted to be seen.

@SuckerPunchProd #9 : Obscure : The Aftermath - 5/10 Personally, this game was a HUGE downgrade from the first one. The story was kinda all over the place and the settings and music choice for certain moments were VERY odd. The only thing I'll give this game over the first, is the combat.

@SuckerPunchProd #8 : ObsCure - 8/10 What a WEIRD survival horror game....Honestly very fun if you get the chance to play through it with someone. It cast oozes cheesy early 2000's slasher flick and that's part of it's charm! Would recommend to any fan of early Resident Evil or Silent Hill!

As much as I loved EX33 I do think the Game Awards should implement a sweeps policy moving forward. Three awards for one game limit or something just so other folks can get the limelight ya feel

@pixelated_owl @SuperButterBuns Yeah no, it deserved 3 less nominations, especially debut indie game which was an objective lie. Also, yes. It does make people change their opinion, on those games snubbed, AND the glazing Expedition 33 had.

@ItzVCiPz @SuperButterBuns I don’t think it is “too many” if the game that won deserved it, which it did. Not saying that KCD2 didn’t, I’m genuinely surprised it didn’t get anything, same thing with DS2. Again…does those games not winning take away from how good those games are or your opinion on them?

@pixelated_owl @SuperButterBuns That's what happened with Hades 2, Donkey Kong Bananza and Silksong respectively during the show last night. All given pity awards because of E33, at the expense of games like KCD2 and Yotei and DS2 being snubbed by Expedition 33 in their respective categories. 9 is too many.

I think the correct way to actually handle this is to ADD MORE CATEGORIES! Look at The Golden Joysticks. The wide variety of categories made sure we had a wide variety of winners! Why limit the games that actually deserve the wins?

People claiming that Clair winning all of those awards is taking away the limelight other games could get is such a corny take. Wouldn't them being nominated give them that? Does them not winning take away from how good the game was? The real winners are US!! WE ATE THIS YEAR!!
