@pixiegames4u Parenting is hard regardless... my idea is, if you can find ways to connect to them and you have enough discipline to keep them grounded but free enough to be happy then you are succeeding, no matter how you to do..

I hate those who say gaming friendly parenting is lazy. Who mostly implies that? Non-gaming parents. What should they do before spouting nonsense? Learn to game. So they actually KNOW a bit about what they campaign against. Laziness is cancelling a hobby before trying it.

Had to do some real world socialising today for a friend's birthday. Just a few drinks then i made my excuses. There was someone there who kept talking over me & seemed to want to challenge everything i said, no reason whatsoever. I was just chatting about my life casually 😅

@TheMadBelmont I love the interface, the simplicity. I pay for pro plus when i shouldn't (not enough time to make the most of it) but i am going to start treating it like Blockbuster and 'renting' one game a week i have a few hours on, soon.

I love all gaming platforms, for different reasons. I'm technically a casual gamer. I was a bit of an xbox warrior when i was 16-24, still cringe about it. Now i don't own an xbox! I'm saving for one but it wasn't top priority as i prefer PS interface & wanted PSVR2

@TheMadBelmont I love nintendo but i have never had the connection that nintendo fans get, wish i did! I have a switch 2 i think will get played more soon. Yeah i was originally on brothers consoles then got an original ps i didnt play much but played on my friend's xboxes a lot. Bought a 360

Huh, makes sense. There was a point where i went from finding all interaction painful to figuring out how to always at least make it useful or amusing. I also had/have decades old special interests in subjects mentioned. It was unconscious but this post made some stuff click.

I honestly dont know what is 'good enough' I just know that Nvidia cards that end in 90 are the best so either 4090 or 5090 but 5090 good luck finding one. some say get a ryzen cpu but I prefer intel as they are more compatible. I have a 12900k and I think they are on 16900k now so my stuff is old but gpu is still a gen behind. A very good PC is NOT cheap thats for sure but you can literally rent them now from companies like NZXT for a month rental fee if you wanna have better hardware without having to wait :)

@Turbolunch Yes, what i really want is a very good PC - i have to use cloud boost to play a few i like which limits my gaming journey a fair bit (plus i have a cheap arse monitor too so it's a bit painful to look at.) I know v little about computers and what i want/need though.

@pixiegames4u I have two xbox series x's that never, ever, ever get played. I have a PC that can run every modern xbox game but with game pass I dont feel any investment in them so I play maybe an hour or so of each and move on... all this to say.. xbox isnt necessary and im sad to say that.
