@Thomas_Astruc American children are taught early on that a person who is a bully must have a hard life or be bullied themselves, to make the bullied child feel better about their own circumstances. No o e tells them that some people are given everything and still choose to be horrible.

Les français semblent beaucoup mieux comprendre le personnage de Chloé. Y aurait-il des stéréotypes culturels à l'œuvre qui explique la différence de perception du personnage ?

@AileWintersong @kirawontmiss People in the 1970’s may have been able to rent a modest apartment on minimum wage, but those were still stepping stone jobs. You were definitely forgoing luxuries. You weren’t buying homes and raising families without a manager position.

When did we go from work for a month to save up for something nice to work for 5 years and maybe you can afford the cheapest Junker car? Why does every job need to pay a living wage? Because in the 1970s every job did. You could afford an apartment alone on a full time minimum wage job, have a car, eat well and go out and do stuff. Now you work for a week hey you can get the good stuff at McDonalds. CEOs cannot exist if no one can afford to buy products and services. There wont be enough companies left to pump and dump stocks for shareholders when no one can afford any company. We need McDonalds CEOs. We need burger flippers. We don't need only one of those groups being able to retire.

@InsomniacFurre @AileWintersong @kirawontmiss Of course not. Can you read? We have gone from certain jobs that were expected to be held by teenagers and part timers to all jobs now having to cover all living expenses. Small businesses are not set up to pay for their employees entire life.

@AileWintersong @kirawontmiss Why does every job need to provide a living wage though? When did we go from teenagers wanting some spending money to people buying a house from working at McDonalds?

@kirawontmiss If you dine out and dont tip you arent standing up to tipping. You dined out without tipping. But at the same time. These signs are stupid cause it opens the argument that: If you can't pay a living wage you don't deserve to own a business.

@kirawontmiss There is one easy way to fix this. Just pay a normal wage. More people will eat out knowing they don’t have to tack on 20% on top of their food. Restaurants will make up the difference with the extra patrons. Lots of other countries do this.

In my very brief journey into Pokémon cards, I've already become very infatuated with Tomokazu Komiya's art. They have no business being that prog rock. Anyone collect by artist?

People will end up finding Pokemon packs to rip, and pull a card like this and still complain.😐

@pirooooon3 This is very common in big cities. Usually a lunch break from work, although I think it’s more common to eat at your desk.

アメリカ人から見ると コンビニのイートインで 1人で食事している女性を見ると 「友達のいない寂しい奴だ」 と思うのでしょうか? ここは日本だし、 ほっといてくれ と思うのですが

@DotMan11111 Gengar always. It could be a card of him on a toilet and people would pay outrageously for it.

@LordCharizard33 Does Pokemon Center have a huge scalping problem though? You move your mouse the wrong way and they ban you for days. I’ve never had a problem with drops on there. However, distribution seems to be hacked - so many empty card shops around here just set up to get Pokemon

@_StoicJoe_ @Jace_TCG @pkmnaricast @ZachBS_ Most one dollar cards stay around that price. You can get cards from 20 years ago for less than that. Only a few will rise in price to be financially significant. However, a 40 dollar card is already shown to be valuable and has a much better chance of going higher.

@pizzicatoag @Jace_TCG @pkmnaricast @ZachBS_ I'm not deep into any TCG so forgive the ignorance but why is this the case? I would have assumed it would be easier to sell 40 $1 cards for $80 dollars than 1 $40 card for $80. Similarly $1 cards can probably only go up in value & your investment is diversified into many cards

At a card show. I pick out some cards and ask vendor if I can trade for them. “Uh sure we trade at 80%” “Why?” “We run a business.” “You can still meet your margins if you sell the cards you trade for at market though.” “Yeah I’m not gonna debate you on this” I left.

@Babywwir No, but is pork a common cafeteria menu item anyway? I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything made with pork. Chicken and turkey is the norm here.

@LordCharizard33 I think the artist did the best with what they had - the pokemon design itself is pretty bad. I bet that all of the colors look better in person
