Embarrassing programming for a rehab throwing program for a high level pitcher. Just embarrassing. Long toss capped at 120’ (paging @jaegersports), timed throwing, 55 pitch (55!) bullpens. Why are we allowing this as an industry just because it’s the way it’s been done?

Incredibly grateful for the chance to coach at UMass Boston over the course of the last 2 years. I’ll be moving on to be a full time assistant with St. Anselm. Beyond excited for the opportunity and can’t wait to help build something special in Manchester!

Just got off the phone with a pitcher I had for two years at my previous school. He also moved on and will make his first D1 start tomorrow. He “just wanted to talk ball” and that was cool to me. If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that you have nothing without good relationships.

I think a lot of pitchers, especially when they just get to college and become POs, reach a point where they stink at playing catch. Like yips level. Unable to make a good throw without being at 60ft and throwing with intent. Resist that. That’s why we do PO infield.

First game tomorrow at Monan with @BeaconsBaseball. Very excited for what's ahead with the group of guys we have. It's DTZ season in Beaconville.

Dominate the zone or DTZ is our philosophy @BeaconsBaseball. Win every pitch, but especially your 0-0 and 1-1 counts. Throw your best pitch often and have the confidence to throw it in the zone.

Kids are the best at problem solving, and adults just get in their way Next time you’re hitting or throwing with your kid, try not critiquing every throw or swing. Use objective feedback like radar based technology, provide a task or challenge, don’t talk, & let them compete
