@jamiemkemp Well when you have as many injures in midfield as we do.
Yea. Don’t mind bypassing the midfield tbf.
English

Brentford played 83 long passes v #LUFC last night - the most by a visiting team at Elland Road since Phil Parkinson's Bolton in February 2019.
Another pretty unwatchable (top level) football match. Invisible midfields, passing round or over and never through... just bland.

Brentford’s Nathan Collins is emerging as a potential summer target for a host of Premier League clubs with Man United identifying the Brentford captain as a player of real interest, @TEAMtalk understands.
But United are not alone in their admiration.

@thesoopabees It’s annoying as Kevin has clearly got bags of talent.
He plays with his head down so much and especially last night, played like he couldn’t care less.
Defensively he did ok. But once he went off, all width went.
It should have been Donovan for Schade and move Dango to the left

🚨💣 Brentford’s recruiters watched Bryan Mbeumo a staggering 𝟐𝟖 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒 while he was playing for ESTAC Troyes in Ligue 2 before making him an offer. 😳
The Cameroonian international explained:
“They told me my flaws and my strengths. They had done a hyperdetailed study! They told me exactly what I needed to work on. Huge respect — I felt that they really wanted me!”
Mbeumo revealed he chose Brentford over Stade Rennais because the French club’s approach was nowhere near as thorough.
A second-division English club completely outclassed a solid Ligue 1 side in their scouting process.

@DeadlineDayLive They would have ended up still selling them for the cash

🎙️ Brentford owner Matthew Benham has claimed the club were close to signing Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Omar Marmoush a few years ago:
🗣️ Benham: "There are always going to be ones that you regret. We could have signed Eze for £4M in 2019 and Marmoush on a free transfer in 2023.
The summer we got promoted to the Premier League, there were two players who scouted amazingly well. One was Mudryk, which would have been mega complicated if we signed him, but we were close to signing him for quite a low fee — £20M, who then went for £80M to Chelsea.
And then there's Michael Olise. His scouting was unbelievable. Out of this world.
We had just been promoted and were not used to the crazy agent fees in the Premier League at the time. The agent’s fee was just so insanely high even though there was a part of us thinking that if you combined the transfer fee and the agent fee, it’s not too bad. But the agent fee on its own was so insane that we stepped away."

@olcpfc @DeadlineDayLive That’s the whole point of the interview!
English

@AGCeltic__ Tbf. Every Brentford fan told you guys how quality he is.
He will be a starter for us next season imo.
English

@fifferh Think they do work on each wing, as long as you’ve got a good DM.
Vita missing can’t be underestimated.
The amount of defending Schade and Dango had to do will naturally put them out of position.
We never replaced Norgaard, like for like.
That needs addressing in the summer.
English

I think it’s only fair to say, Collins had a good game, started nervous,he’s come under a lot of deserved fire lately, for me Ajer didn’t deserve to be dropped, however, we’re not privy to knocks and managing game time, to prevent injury, hence Rico’s small strain.

English

@harriskaykeith @joshh_bfc Absolutely, the resurgence of Vita has shone through for that reason & he shores us up a lot, which then helps the CB’s exposure.
We have plenty of attacking intent, yes a few injured for the season, but it needs addressing, we need another good box to box and a commanding tall DM
English

@pjheadless @joshh_bfc Been like that for
Way to many games over the last good few seasons even under frank we just let teams have the midfield defend in numbers no outlets when we get to ball back
English

@TommyLYeah Poor performance, but got away with a point when we deserved 0
English

Tbf. I’ll take that.
Bournemouth are no mugs and playing well.
A clean sheet when you’re far from your best is a result.
Nearly a week off and they need it. They looked leggy, were picking up injures.
Regroup for the run in.

A big shift from the boys tonight 🤝 5 unbeaten on the road now 👏
English

@Melbourne_MUFC2 @the_irishguy @ivantoney24 That’s completely irrelevant to the question asked.
I’m sure he’s not regretting the millions he’s earning.
English

@ConnorDan90492 @LuisAdrianoUK @Whu_Justin @BrentfordFC A ground that Brentford own and have paid for themselves, having again secured Premier League football at the very least.
Yea. I’ll take that.
English

@LuisAdrianoUK @Whu_Justin @BrentfordFC Everything about Brentford is Conference South, including your shit tinpot lego stadium.

🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Arsenal set-piece coach Nicolas Jover has a specific set-piece goal bonus clause written into his current contract. 🎯
The Gunners have already scored 16 goals from corners this season — just one more and they’ll break the record. 👀

Tbf. I couldn’t care less anymore.
For a change we got the rub of the green.
Brentford have had enough poor decisions go against them this season.
So I’ll take the win, 3 points & move on.
More interested in how KA addresses the 2nd half collapse and builds from there.

@bfcgpg To all the ‘Brentford sarcastic twats’ out there - this still isn’t conclusive for handball, and the other angle either shows a gap between ball and arm! Remarkable Newton’s Laws of Gaps
