‘Keep the heid’, Oban, I painted for my Mum as a gift. She got it framed so beautifully, black frame with a white mount. I’m looking at it now in Edinburgh. At the beginning of my Art journey she couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t paint using colours to match her cushions. I explained it had to come from my heart, my interpretation, Oban was the painting that shaped her mind & where she fell in love with my Art. Less than a fortnight ago she was looking at my website & singing my praises. My biggest support. I’ll miss her immeasurably. It doesn’t feel real.
It is with deep sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that Valerie has passed away. She faced Parkinson’s disease with incredible courage and compassion, never once complaining. She lived life to the fullest and what a magnificent life it was.

Criminals and astronauts, is flying down to Rio
From the ground below just a vapor trail
Left to remind us of the dreams on sale

Tell me something I understand
Don't talk to me in circles
