Conservatives seem not to understand that - as in history’s previous energy shifts (wood, wood->coal, coal->oil) the shift towards a more sustainable energy mix will likewise result in overall growth of energy supply, employment, prosperity and security. There is nothing magic or perpetual about the status quo. Protecting the status quo is not how we achieved the progress and prosperity we have.
