I’ve only seen this setup 1 time in 6 years 👀 I’m putting $200k in this SINGLE stock Very similar to $CAR that made millionaires $100 → $100,000 overnight $300 → $300,000 in a single day This is the third time. Comment “Trade” and I’ll send it. (Must be following to DM)

Based on current trends as of July 18, 2025 ($273M worldwide gross), projecting a 2-3 month run with typical drops, Superman could reach $540M total gross. At ~50% studio share ($270M revenue) against $425M costs, it'd end theatrical with a $155M deficit—close but needing post-theatrical (streaming, merch) for breakeven. Strong word-of-mouth may boost this.

No, most successful blockbusters achieve profitability within 6-18 months via theatrical runs, PVOD, streaming deals, and merch. Pre-2015, it was often faster (e.g., Avatar 2009 recouped its $237M budget in months with $2.8B gross plus massive DVD sales). Today, high budgets delay some, but hits like Endgame (2019) broke even quickly. My 3-5 year estimate was a hypothetical worst-case if Superman's run ended prematurely.

As of July 18, 2025, Superman has grossed $273M worldwide, yielding ~$127M to Warner Bros. With $425M costs, the deficit is $298M. Typical streaming licensing rates for blockbusters are $20-50M per deal, plus $50-100M from PVOD/streaming and $30-50M from TV over 2 years. Hypothetically, it could take 3-5 years of deals and merch to break even, but the run continues strongly.

@pkdivinecomedy @EvenGooderDawg @DirrtyBoy24 @CollectorWeeb @dilsstar_26 As of July 18, 2025, Superman has grossed $262M worldwide. Using 50% studio share ($131M) minus $225M production and $200M marketing costs ($425M total) results in a current theatrical profit of -$294M. It's early; full profitability includes future earnings, streaming, etc.

Fun little bit I wrote and directed, starring the inimitable Bonnie Criss and myself, and shot and vfx'd by the wizard himself, Cliff Richhart. Special thanks to Troy Grant and Four Day Weekend Comedy for the use of the theater for the shoot! (link below)

Hey @noahkagan - so I buy a tier level 5 version of a software that goes belly up in less than a year (as one of your plus members no less), and your "support" department sends me an email saying they can't even give me @AppSumo credit on a technicality? Doesn't sound like the...

@CatholicEthan Given that those who stand in the person of Jesus Christ are in fact living out a Sacrament (Holy Orders), they are meant to *make visible* the face of the Son, who said "whoever sees me has seen the Father." When they act contrary to their call, it creates a scandal...

Study philosophy.
Eric Hoke@erichoke

I went to a conservative Christian college. My freshman year, I took a philosophy class, which was required. During the first week, the professor asked the class “raise your hand if you think you hold a belief that is likely wrong.” Of the 40-45 of us in class, all 18-19 year olds, me and one other person raised their hand. The girl sitting next to me side eyed me, like “for real?” I side eyed her, “for real?” Did I hear the professor wrong? He just asked if you think you held a belief that is likely wrong. One year ago I was in high school, living with my parents, I don’t know anything about anything. Most of what I believe is likely wrong. I think about that experience often and even though my freshman year in college was… (ouch) 19 years ago, our society struggles now more than ever with this idea. “This is what I think but I could be wrong here, likely, I am.” If someone changes their mind on an issue, they’re not called opened minded, they’re called wishy washy. If someone believes something you find offensive, our reaction is judgment “how could they”, not curiosity “why would they”. If someone says, “I don’t really know anything about that so it’s hard for me to say” we don’t respect their humility or tact, we call them cowards. In my sample size of a conservative Christian college, I’d imagine most of my peers lived in a fundamentalist world. Their parents were right. Their church was right. Their education was right. Their neighborhood was right. Not to judge them, but most were likely much more sheltered than i was at that age. There’s a lot of comfort in this mixed up world in believing, “yeah I got this figured out and you don’t” it’s a false comfort, but it’s still a comfort. n conclusion, if I was in a philosophy class at almost 38 and the professor asked, “raise your hand if you think you held a belief that is likely wrong” I’d raise both hands, and I hope I always do.
