You cannot think freely in someone else’s language. Every nation that industrialized fast Japan, China, South Korea taught science, law, and governance in its own language. Africa still graduates engineers who can’t explain their work to their own grandmothers.

Someone will come tomorrow and ask why young Nigerians are staying away from churches. Young Nigerians grew up reading about Moses, Elijah and even Jesus Christ taking a stand against corrupt and oppressive leadership while Nigerian pastors are either platforming corrupt leaders, subtly supporting them or just ignoring everything being done to their members by them.

I don't think I've ever truly believed in God. I only had a perception of God, but what dictated my life, from my morals and actions to my thoughts, were all a result of real, external influences, not any mental fabrication. Being an atheist is just living without that illusion.

I read Seasons Of Crimson Blossoms and was thoroughly awed by the beauty, skill and deep social themes it explored. I'd read anything by him.
