City Council adopts planokc 9-0 Take a look at planokc.org

@cityofokc new comprehensive plan being considered for adoption by City Council today.

And it's adopted...!

Thanks to the many many people who contributed to the creation of planokc.

Policies are connected to their related goals and initiatives.

8 plan elements focus on specific planning topics: land use, transportation, the environment, the arts, for example.

Considerations for capital improvements are included as well

A 3-pass approach to land use compatibility is intended to help ensure that uses can co-exist.

"Land Use Typology Areas" will be used to provide details about the preferred intensity of uses throughout the city.

planokc's land use plan was informed by a detailed land supply analysis.

7 Big Ideas came into focus as the plan and its content were being drafted.

Studies, surveys, and public feedback tools were used to create and inform a variety of plan components.

planokc is designed to support efficient growth of Oklahoma City; 300,000 new residents over the next 30-40 years.

Our comp plan is a long-range policy plan.
