@mrpapageorg1o @JeffNadu Here you are minding your business. Buying snacks. Anyone approaches you shoot em if you feel endangered. This isn’t what Kyle was doing. Cmon. Kyle didn’t stumble into danger like you would have in your example. He voluntarily went out looking for

@pleader231 @JeffNadu So if I voluntarily walk to a 7-11 in the hood at night, you’re saying I don’t get the right to self defense if I’m mugged because I chose to go into a bad neighborhood?
English

@mrpapageorg1o @JeffNadu I disagree. Which is fine. I’m not here to change minds lol. Like I’ve said, generally speaking carrying a gun is not provoking. But in this situation I feel different. No matter what law says, you can’t convince me that bringing a gun to a heated protest isn’t provoking.
English

@pleader231 @JeffNadu Walking around in an open carry state openly carrying is not provoking.
Again, if the out of state rioters are so bothered by that, don’t riot in Wisconsin. He wasn’t the only one carrying.
English

@mrpapageorg1o @JeffNadu The situation wasn’t handled correctly. I am with you. Response should have been to de escalate. Turn away…the point I’m trying to make is Kyle was the provocateur that led to a series of bad decisions. He put himself and everyone around him in a shitty situation. Voluntarily.
English

@pleader231 @JeffNadu I wouldn’t give someone shit if I get threatened with someone carrying a gun. “Shoot me n****” ain’t exactly deescalating the situation.
English

@mrpapageorg1o @JeffNadu Doesn’t bother me. At all. Are you even reading or just inserting a talking point you heard on news somewhere ? …Kyle brought a gun. Some felt threatened so they gave him shit. He ran. Freaked out and shot gun. Now claiming defense ? Laughable.
English

@pleader231 @JeffNadu Open carry is legal in Wisconsin. If that bothers you so much, don’t go to Wisconsin.
English

@GibbaGoo33 Here’s where we disagree. To me showcasing the gun is enough for a black person at a protest about race to feel threatened. Anyone for that matter. Doesn’t have to be black person How’s it not? I’d be on edge Who’s this little shit with massive gun?
English

@pleader231 It's ignorant of him to think that wasn't gonna lead to worse events, but it's still not an act of aggression. If he was threatening people with it, it'd be different.
English

He shouldn't have put himself in that situation u are right. But saying displaying a gun is a sign of aggression is just ignorant
pleader23@pleader231
@JeffNadu False. Kyle cant claim self defense after going to a HEATED protest voluntarily and displaying gun to public. I would argue displaying the gun ( in that particular situation) is the first sign aggression that lead to the rest of the events Kyle was on offense from start
English

@GibbaGoo33 Anyone not in law enforcement who brings a gun to a protest is on offense. If you’re scared or on defense you’d let law enforcement do their job. Kyle was on offense. Get outta here. He got scared when his bluff was called. That’s not self defense
English

@GibbaGoo33 In that particular situation it’s an act of aggression. Tensions were high. Distrust in the air. And here comes this kid with a massive gun. As a black man I’d immediately be on edge. It’s about context. generally speaking i agree displaying a gun is not act of aggression

@libsoftiktok You are misinterpreting. Article is suggesting Dave uses white trans and gay people’s white privilege as an excuse to be able to attack and offend them. The article isn’t insinuating Dave has white privilege which is what I think you’re getting at.

@MarlowNYC Stop falling for the trap. Clowns like this just want to get a reaction. Please don’t let them keep getting away with it. The overwhelming majority of Americans are with Simone, yet all I keep hearing about are these clowns. Let’s have Positivity trump negativity on here
