Our oceans can easily support 10 terawatts of energy generation with Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion. 5 terawatts of that is in international waters. Nothing can stop us from scaling compute.

I’m not going to lie: building a Bitcoin-first company in Mexico, a country with a very low Bitcoin adoption rate, is extremely challenging. Since Aureo launched its core products back in March, we’ve seen consistent growth on our platform and increasing recognition, but we’re still far from being a sustainable operation. However, I’m confident that by building products and services adapted to the Mexican reality, we can get there in the coming months. Another obvious challenge for me is adapting our marketing and communications to the country in a way that resonates culturally and contextually. Traditional Bitcoin maximalism doesn’t really work in Mexico, and the market is still too small. So the challenge isn’t only to find clients; it’s to help create the culture that will produce new customers. On top of that, every Mexican state, and even every city, can have a completely different reality from another. However, in the past few weeks, many leads and customers have shared with us that different Bitcoin values, such as sovereignty and censorship resistance, are starting to resonate with them because of Mexico’s political and economic situation. I’m grateful for this invitation from Pleb Lab so we can discuss this interesting landscape and how Aureo is working hard not only to grow as a company, but also to help create a thriving Bitcoin culture in Mexico.
