It'll come as no surprise that the whole team love an oceanic film. But can you help us settle an office debate on which is the best?! (No shame in saying Finding Nemo, it's a timeless classic and I won't hear a word against it.) 🐠

[Tip on Drawing T.rex Face] (19 part thread) This is my quick guide on T.rex's face. I will explain without anatomical words, so hopefully this will be easily digestable even to people unfamiliar with dinosaurs.

@Tartificiel Hi - would it be possible to use your image of the shagreen ray for an ID guide project? No worries if not!

Wrapped up our IBTS survey with some experimental "deeper" trawls (for the North Sea) and got to enjoy some cartilaginous critters: rabbit fish (Chimaera monstrosa), velvet belly lanternshark (Etmopterus spinax), shagreen ray (Leucoraja fullonica)

+ LINK: doi.org/10.1093/jmamma… FOTO: Boffy etal.

I’m so happy to say after a year of hard work I’ve finished my MSc Palaeobiology course at @BristolPalaeo! And as for next steps I’m excited to say I’ll be joining the @BritishEcolSoc as an Outreach Project Intern! Such an amazing opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.

Today’s “fossil find” needs a whole thread… because it’s a radioactive giant monkey. (no seriously). Here’s the story of a Theropithecus oswaldi from the early Pleistocene 🧵 1/
