Particularly when there’s no proof of Bogues making the initial comment. I’m not saying he didn’t, but I would expect a man with Grant Kelley’s success to handle this personally - or ignore it.
Airing dirty laundry, the team making public statements & now referring it to the league - again, without proof of the initial comment… comes across like a whiny office employee complaining to the HR department.
The level of competition between these two teams has been fantastic - great for the league! We should be focussed on the brilliant players in this series - not an owner that’s butt hurt 🤷♂️

The Adelaide 36ers have released a statement, taking issue with “persistent and repeated personal attacks by a Sydney Kings co-owner and assistant coach directed towards our owner Grant Kelley.” They’re clearly referring to Andrew Bogut. The team says it will “address the matter further with [the NBL] and other regulatory authorities during the NBL off season.”

There was a back-and-forth between 36ers owner Grant Kelley and Kings assistant Andrew Bogut near the tunnel on our end as the on-court drama was unfolding in the aftermath of Cotton’s game-winner. The pair exchanged some tense words, then were quickly guided their separate ways.

Drama in Adelaide, too. Kendric Davis got in Bryce Cotton’s face in the immediate aftermath. The two went face to face and had to be separated. Both teams ultimately composed themselves and did a normal handshake line.
