The SEC has officially closed its investigation into CyberKongz. After years of litigation, unjust allegations, crippling legal fees, and the biggest hurdle we could possibly encounter - we are free. This is an extremely proud moment for CyberKongz. We are a small, passionate, and creative web3 team that elected to fight this battle for the betterment of web3. We are certain this result will provide clarity to many projects innovating with blockchain technology, pushing the boundaries of web3 gaming, and ultimately showcasing the beauty of NFTs. As for CyberKongz, the shackles are lifted. We have been preparing for this day for a long time. A full rebrand and new direction for CyberKongz will be announced soon. But in the meantime, it should be celebrated by all that our space is here to stay.

I’m deeply relieved to share that after 27 challenging months, the SEC’s investigation into CyberKongz and myself has concluded. This has been an incredibly difficult period for myself and the entire team, one that tested our strength and focus in ways I never anticipated. Facing such intense scrutiny from a regulatory body is not something I’d wish upon anyone. I’m grateful that the SEC has shifted its attention away from NFTs and crypto, providing our industry with much-needed clarity and breathing room. This resolution allows CyberKongz to move forward without the weight of an investigation draining our energy and resources; mentally and financially. When I started CyberKongz, it was just a fun side project - something I poured my creativity into without a clue about was coming. I was blown away when thousands of people connected with the artwork, forming a community that made me feel like I’d found my place. It was exciting and humbling all at once. I didn’t realize then that I was stepping into the wildest ride of my life. The timing was right and four years later I'm so proud of our contributions to the space: ➤ Achieving the highest ever floor price for a PFP-based collection ➤ Popularizing the concept of having a token paired with an NFT collection ➤ Pioneering the aspect of PFP-based NFT projects building and having a roadmap ➤ Developing fully interoperable 3D avatars with the most integrations in web3 environments ➤ Enhancing security in web3 with the development of the smart contract: ERC721x ➤ Creating a game that has done over 8 million transactions ➤ Showcasing the power of our IP by creating a bespoke Manga that reached #1 on MangaPlus by Shueisha ➤ And most of all, showing what is possible with the power of community in web3 We have taken some hard hits; but ultimately we have come through the other side - stronger and more determined than ever. The next chapter involves going back to our roots and doing what Kongz does best. What made all of this so special. We will be announcing a rebrand and redirection very soon. One that is deeply cemented in our past, one that is centred around innovation, and one that will make any holder proud to be a Kong. A new chapter for Kongz.
