@SJM_crowfather I think it's just the same on any daw. I don't master much, usually it's just a limiter on the mix. I try to make the mix work already, other than that almost always Ozone on top. Nothing fancy. When the music heads for a release, I prefer someone more knowledgeable to master.

@pmcomposer Whats it like doing mastering chains in cubase? Its not one ive heared alot from both peirs and lecturers

Closing my last Cubase project of 2025 today, wanted to thank everyone, who joined the ride this year. It feels amazing to have such a supportive audience and more and more friends along the way. Very excited for stuff in 2026. Especially for "This" and "That"! :) All best! <4

@SJM_crowfather Pro Tools in recording studios still wears the crown, so I do comping in PT, but I move back to my original Cubase project for mixing. And I can see Logic as the more default choice for Mac users as opposed to Cubase :D

@pmcomposer Strange, ive allways been used to both logic and pro tools as the ones id use, perhaps its time i download my copy then

@SJM_crowfather Yup, as it's always been. It's great for orchestral writing and has been used by many top film composers. But after I'm done composing, I switch to Sibelius for scores, which is still an industry standard. Dorico slowly catching up, but feels all weird to me, haha.

@pmcomposer wait you use cubase?????? like is that legit the premier orchestration daw?

Ah... computer technology. When your Samsung T9 is capable of 2TB/s but your PC is having none of this bs, working hard to reach 1/1000th of the speed. Because of ports, cables, USB type mismatch, PCI lanes or whatever the heck.
