It’s a classic high-narcissism thing: you criticize someone and they go “I’m already miserable! I hate myself! What more do you want?” as if their suffering is so important and valuable—they assume everything is about how it makes *them* feel, including punishment/criticism.
It doesn’t occur to the person with very high narcissistic traits that the reason they’re being criticized is because *other people* have their own feelings and needs and are tired of being subjected to the narcissist’s bad behavior. No, criticism and punishment are about the *narcissist’s* feelings, about making them suffer. Because why would anyone care about anything other than the narcissist’s feelings? When they get criticized, therefore, it’s because someone else wants them to feel bad. And if they *already* feel bad, then the punishment is so terribly unfair!
They can’t even conceive of the reality that no one really cares if they feel bad or not, that their suffering is neither valuable nor noble. To everyone else it is incidental at best. Everyone else just wants them to stop being assholes.

@sleepy_shivers that isnt true though! most c1s women do not have largely male dimorphism, most c1s women do look like women, unfortunately puberty does skew dimorphism and presented phenotype in ways that are sometimes permanent
