@Lanky_Lanky You can feel a certain R Ponting shaking in disbelief.

@kmf89mt6ht @NickFriend1 This, clubs need to submit a sub for batting, wkt and the bowling X2 pace and spin. In this case I actually feel it has been used in terms of ability, as with Bailey being added this game would be done by tea Sunday.
English

Regrettably, the replacement trial is becoming an ever-growing farce.
After right-armer Ajeet Singh Dale went down for Lancashire, Tom Bailey was rejected as not like-for-like enough.
Instead, left-armer Ollie Sutton is driving across from a 2s game.

Boris Johnson spent over £200k on decorating for No 10. Did you hear the right complain? Of course not. Johnson also spent thousands on alcohol and partying during Covid, specifically for Downing Street while we were in lockdown and people died alone. Should I go on?

GB NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Keir Starmer spent £30,000 of YOUR money on beds, sofas, Ottoman blanket boxes and a £1,395 TV unit. Starmer lectured Boris Johnson about donor spending on Downing St., but this is TAXPAYER cash. @christopherhope exclusive The audacity is breathtaking. 👇🧵

@WG_RumblePants It's a disgrace WG, so short sighted and will generate little extra income it just takes it away from so many.
English

Ridiculously short sighted by Lancs. The free YouTube channel is their shop window. It’s a massive opportunity to draw in casual fans so that they get excited enough to come along in person (and maybe even become a member and bring other people).
What’s happened to the public awareness of cricket in this country since it went behind a paywall in 2005?
Are Lancs still a cricket club or are they just another sport-based business that’s out to fleece their fans?

The start of a big change to county live streaming? Lancashire have put introduced a paywall for all men’s county matches telegraph.co.uk/gift/3be120e67…

@Newman123Sam @NoContextCounty And it's those interactions you can't put on a spreadsheet.
English

@NoContextCounty Let's say 1000 people pay. That's £20k. That's peanuts and will vanish in a second.
Surely it's better in the long run to keep eyes on the game.
My boy asked to go and watch Sussex because I showed him a match on YouTube. Since then we have been to several grounds and he loves it
English

County streams being pay to view is pure idiocy, you’re blocking off your biggest, most accessible avenue to grow in a time when there is constant competition for eyes. At the same time even from a money grab point of view it makes little sense, given it’s free for members what other market is there for people willing to pay? You’re just further locking people out of a sport with already huge cost barriers for the sake of it.
