My "hottest take" is that using the word "everyone" when referring to an apparant majority of your algorithmic feed is actually a symptom of psychosis. Social media psychosis is just completely normalized and frequency illusions are rampant and seen as a non-issue for some reason

"Everyone is saying <...>!" Actually it's closer to .01% of even the people you think are part of this demographic, even if internally you assume you're calibrating for this phenomenon you are a victim

i always found the argument that "playing a video game for the story is like eating soup because you like the spoon" a bit silly because a good spoon does elevate the experience if im being honest
