You just articulated why on some days X makes me schizo. 100% agree on x being the best place for high signal. This is why I started unfollowing based on signal/noise. I store all tweets of the accounts I follow, and ask claude cowork every saturday to create an unfollow list, keeps me sane(r)

X is the best source for weak/early signals & it being unfiltered is what brings it closer to ground truth, via absence of centralized & editorial bias
unfortunately this demands sufficiently strong metacognition & low emotional reactivity to use effectively & not go insane

X has to be the worst source for news. Traditional media may be biased, but X is gigantic spaghetti of information, misinformation, AI slop and finding truth is nearly impossible.
