@C_Carbajal_ @izutsulyn mostly vakiha, miyako, and some satsuki, its mostly combo execution I find really difficult. theres a steep difficulty curve when moving from baby combos to more intermediate ones, but even with the baby combos I would keep dropping the aerial chains and losing my oki setups

Tekken 8 Patch 3.0 is not "a small step in the right direction" but "many steps in vastly different directions" Some characters were nerfed in solid ways that make a lot of sense (Anna CH > elbow, Nina b222, Steve armor, Yoshi 1,1) Other characters got slaps on the wrist, or were ONLY buffed. Weaknesses were intentionally removed. This contradicts the statement of focusing on strengths, weakness, and identity. The only consistent thing was a focus on making things "easier." Unique tech and conversions were removed, offense was streamlined, and a lot of execution checks were completely removed. According to this patch, situational awareness is not something that should be heavily rewarded, and cool things keep getting removed or simplified. Generally the vibes seem down, and I'm personally pretty confused by the direction of the game.

@electrolemon Scrubbed for other oscars, especially technical ones, sure. Best picture? Absolutely not, even F1 was slightly more deserving. No movie that meanders for over half the runtime before getting started deserves a nomination for best picture.

@6weetbix @overflowyouknow you have to read timing with b1 because just throwing it out carries risk. being able to consistently read ch timings has always been high skill and very hype. ff2 is a hit confirmable mid plus on block with free stance that goes into heat. idk I feel its very clear why

@overflowyouknow Seeing the replies to this, it's interesting how Steve b+1 gets a pass despite being incredibly "rule breaking" because it's character identity, but Reina/Lidia f,F+2 not being a standard demon paw is unacceptable. Almost like it was just contempt for the characters all along...

I don’t like how Lili is designed in T8 btw. She is my character and I will always think she is cool, but I never wanted her to be this strong. The only legitimate change I thought was cool was making df4 i13. But I’d prefer if she was weaker and had smaller playerbase.
