Kubernetes does not reload running applications when configuration changes on ConfigMaps happen. The application continues using stale configuration. There are 2 solutions. 1. mount your config as volume instead as environment variable. This will do the changes in pod without restarting the whole pod. You application just need to aware of the changes and should do a soft reload on thier own. 2. use 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫. It watches Secrets and ConfigMaps and triggers safe rolling updates for workloads that depend on them. Bookmark this. Might come in handy later. Bye. A repost helps big time. Thank you.
